This trade show is specifically tailored to the Chinese market but attracts many visitors from all of Asia every time. Due to the current situation, less foreign visitors are expected to attend. Nonetheless, this expo is very important for the exhibitors as well as visitors.

All large, mid-size, and small national and international exhibitors will be on display as usual. Naturally, Daetwyler SwissTec, represented by Daetwyler Shanghai, will be there with many partners. The team will consist mostly of domestic personnel for obvious reasons. Despite the extra efforts and added safety precautions, the entire Chinese printing industry is happy to have the All-In-Print Expo this year, bringing with it some of the "new normal".

IDENTIFIERS FOR CORRECT USE OF MDC DOCTOR BLADES

The correct handling of MDC doctor blades is imperative for any type of printing success. To ensure correct mounting of MDC doctor blade, specified products will be marked. This marking will enable easy visualization of the MDC lamella / contact side of our coated doctor blades. Our goal is to support the operators in mounting the doctor blade correctly into the holder under any circumstance. This new identification method is illustrated below with an MDC DURALIFE. Using the contact side identifier, we ensure that the MDC doctor blade can be correctly installed into the print station.

NEW MDC DOCTOR BLADE BOX

The transparent lid gives the user a direct view of the remaining available quantity, which allows for a quick determination of when to reorder. Additionally, the MDC doctor blade box offers protection against misuse: the new lid features a predetermined breaking point and can therefore only be used once. This ensures that you will only receive the original doctor blades from MDC. Another advantage of this new design is that less raw materials are used, which allowed us to reduce weight in an effort to lessen the impact on our environment.

HANDLING

The new and unique packaging system also prevents retraction of the doctor blade roll. The user can unwind the roll to the last meter without any pull-back of the doctor blade. However, to achieve this, the doctor blade box must be placed in an upright position. Stickers applied on each box will visualize this step (see image on the right). The added QR code will show a 3D animation of this new packaging and its handling.

MARKET LAUNCH

The new MDC doctor blade box will be launched effective April 2020 and replace - in parallel - the previous packaging. Your local partner will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

We are beginning the year, like every year, with our international Sales Meeting. In mid-January, our global sales team will get together for their traditional exchange of information about the various markets. At the same time, preparations are in full swing for drupa. Between 16–26 June 2020, the world’s biggest trade fair for the printing trade is being held in Düsseldorf and we are really looking forward to welcoming all of our sales partners and partners to our booth B02 in Hall 15. 

This is just a small glimpse of what is in store in 2020, but you can expect a whole lot more and we are delighted to be able to get to work with our partners. 

For the sixth time in a row (biennial exhibition) we took the opportunity to show our products - the MDC doctor baldes, the Anilox Cleaner and the MDC Endseals – to more than 40,000 visitors. 

The Labelexpo Europe 2019 was the pleasurable occasion to held personal conversations and exchange experiences with our customers. After this successful Labelexpo we’re looking forward to 2021!
