Daetwyler for life

The "Daetwyler Vision" has always been to bring innovative products and services with Swiss character out into the world: ingeniously developed, implemented with the highest precision and distributed with customer-oriented service. Since its foundation in 1943, Daetwyler has continuously improved and expanded the company's expertise.

2023

Worldwide launch of the MDC LONGLIFE PRO. The further development of the MDC LONGLIFE was specially developed for gravure printing.  

2018

Establishment of its subsidiary in Turkey "Daetwyler Rotoflex Emtia Ticaret A.Ş."

2017

Establishment of its subsidiary in Singapore "Daetwyler SwissTec Singapore Pte. Ltd." 

2014

New divisional structure: formation of Global Tec Holding with the two diviosions SwissTec and Industries operating worldwide.

2012

Acquisition of Daetwyler IBOTec with a new center of excellence for research and development in Germany. 

2008

On 1 January 2008, the production of MDC doctor blades begins at the independent company Daetwyler SwissTec AG in Bleienbach.

2006

Daetwyler SwissTec India Pte. Ltd was founded and started with the production of MDC doctor blades in India in 2006.

2002

The production of MDC doctor blades begins in China with the opening of MDC Daetwyler (China) Co. Ltd.

1996

Max Daetwyler AG was awarded the ERA European Innovation Prize for the development of the Laser Star.

1979

Max Daetwyler Co. was renamed Max Daetwyler AG.

1974

Max Daetwyler Corp. opened for business in Huntersville, USA.

1972

Start of distribution of the unique developed lamella doctor blade, which became a watchword for quality and reliability worldwide.

1964

The Swiss Confederation abruptly halted the Mirage programme for political reasons. Within a very short space of time, Daetwyler was compelled to reorient its business model and found new opportunities for business in the graphic arts industry, in particular in gravure printing.

1943

At the age of 27, Max Daetwyler founded the company in Dietikon, canton Zurich. The focus was on aircraft maintenance and overhaul.
